Goa, the land of beaches and also called ‘Crucible of Culture’ can be the first among the States in India, to move faster in re-opening and re-building domestic tourism, amidst Covid.
Goa has so far stood out as one of the most health-safe destinations in the country, in the light of Covid spread.
Goa offers such tourism products viz beaches, water sports, heritage monuments, resorts, open air restaurants, beach weddings and religious locations, all of which are relatively more health-safe ,as also compatible with the need of social distancing.
Further, Goa is also now accessible by all modes of connectivity namely ,air, road, rail and even water. The inland cruises viz Jalesh and Angriya are also likely to restart their operations.
The webinar on ‘Re-building Domestic Tourism-focus Goa’,organised by New Tourism Foundation, deliberated, in great detail, varied aspects of taking domestic tourism forward in the State.
Sharing my thoughts on the policies and strategies to be pursued to rebuild domestic tourism in Goa, slowly, but steadily, in the video film.
